Cobra Kai will finally return for its sixth and final season this summer, with Netflix revealing the season will actually roll out in three separate parts.

Netflix rolled out a new trailer for this upcoming season, which is set shortly after Season 5, when Cobra Kai was eliminated from the Valley tournament.

Both the senseis (Ralph Macchio and William Zabka) and the students must decide about competing in the Sekai Taikai, the karate world championships.

The trailer showcases new footage of the Miyagi-Do Karate facility with several students training, as Daniel LaRusso (Macchio) co-opts a famous Apocalypse Now line, stating, 'I love the smell of karate in the afternoon.'

The trailer shows bits of footage from the final scene of the original 1984 classic The Karate Kid, with the adult Daniel and Johnny Lawrence (Zabka) bowing.

'We're not giving up without a fight,' Johnny says, as he and Daniel start their training as well.

The trailer then reveals between random bits of footage that the final season will be a 3-part event spanning 15 episodes, with five episodes dropping with each part.

They show random shots including some of the students practicing punching balls thrown out of a pitching machine, before revealing Part 1 drops July 18.

More fight footage ensues before it's said that Part 2 will be released on November 28 with the third and the 'finale event' arriving sometime in 2025.

Johnny's old sensei John Kreese (Martin Kove) is seen smoking a cigar before saying,' Cobra Kai is back,' as the trailer comes to an end.

Cobra Kai first aired on YouTube Red, with the first two seasons debuting in 2018 and 2019, before the platform completely ditched scripted programming.

Netflix picked up the show in June 2020, with the third season debuting on the streaming service in January 2021.

A fourth season quickly followed in December 2021 with the fifth debuting in September 2022, with the sixth delayed due to the writers and actors strikes.

Netflix announced in early February that production had already gotten under way for the sixth and final season.

The first five seasons have each spanned 10 episodes apiece before this super-sized 15-episode three-part final season arrives this summer.

The series also stars Courtney Henggler as Daniel's wife Amanda, Xolo Mariduena as Miguel Diaz and Tanner Buchanan as Robby Keene.

Buchanan recently teased on a podcast about the final season, 'This season, so far, is, it's a lot! We're all working harder than we ever have. There's a lot going into this season, and everyone's truly putting in, not even 110%, we're all putting in 200%.'
